Remaker Kits: A New Way Of Recycling

RCS students (A. K. A. us/ the makers of this website!) have created a new way to recycle. We called them Remaker kits. What is a Remaker kit, you are probably asking. Well, it can be explained in 3 simple sentences. 1: A Remaker kit is a recycled maker kit, but what is that? 2: A maker kit is a collection of electronic or non-electronic things that can be put together to make something wonderful by following the enclosed directions. 3: If you put these two sentences together, you get the one concept that a Remaker kit is a kit including different materials to make something amazing, but the materials (like LEDs or cardboard) are recycled from old, non- worky, electronics or other recylables. Here's a challenge! Below, you will see several pictures depicting one of the Remaker kits that we have made. we saw this on the internet and were inspired to make a recycled version of it. See if you can find a maker kit that you think you could redo as a Remaker kit: a recycled version of the thing you found and wanna' build. Happy ReMaking!

We are a robotics team that competed in the First Lego League competition. We won not one, but two champions awards from this competition and robot engineering awards. This was an incredible experience where we got to grow and bond as a team. We are sad that this year is over as we are having to say goodbye to three of our strongest team members. They are going into highschool and hope to continue of in the next stage of the robotics competition. They are awesome at what they do and we are really going to miss them!
